DPC stands for Direct Patient Consulting
A Professional Healthcare Advocate is a necessity anymore the way our current healthcare system operates. You can hire me to help you navigate and more fully understand your personal health care journey. Additionally, if you are caring for a loved one, I can help you, as a caregiver, take better care of that person.
I will assist you in breaking down complex medical information into understandable and digestible bites. I will educate you as to the choices or decisions you may be facing and help you to not only clearly see, but also to fully understand, the nuances that you should take into account in making those decisions. I can be as active in your journey that you would like for me to be. For example, I can attend medical visits (either virtually or in person), communicate on your behalf directly with your care team, do research on particular topics and spend time educating you about those topics, etc. We can tailor our agreement and my role as your advocate and advisor to what best suits your situation.
My role is to work along with your PCP and your specialists to help supplement the care you are getting. To be clear, I will not be actively practicing medicine and will not be a substitute for your current providers. Instead, I will be a resource for you as you walk through your healthcare jouney.
Need labs explained? Need someone to attend an appointment with you, either virtually or in person? Are you or a loved one in the hospital and feel like you are not understanding what is going on? Are referrals not getting made by your PCP's office? Feel that you can't get past the front desk at your PCP's office and don't feel heard? Traditional medical practices are corporate owned businesses, and are therefore profit-driven. This makes them have to cram more patients in to their practices than they can effectively serve in order to meet productivity goals....and this makes for stressed-out providers who don't have time to care for you the way that they would like to.

SAVE AT KIND DPC

There are no co-pays, no deductibles to meet, and no surprise costs or hidden fees. I typically charge an hourly rate for my Health Advocacy services, but there are situations where it makes sense for a client to buy a package of hours (with 3 or more hours purchased, there is a savings from my hourly rate).
There may be folks who desire to have me on their team every day for an indefinite amount of time. A monthly membership is an option for the client in that situation.
